It is sometimes very annoying that the cache expires too soon and your channel icons, image, and default homepage isn't properly cached. Here is a solution for that.Follow the steps :
Open up the registry editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Cache. On the right panel just change the value of CleanupInterval and FreshnessInterval (value is in seconds, LSB first) into the required period you want.
The recommended is seven days (value=80 3A 09 00). This will cure your problems. Don't set it too big or you will find that your Internet cache grows with it. However, if you can afford the disk space, a larger cache means faster browsing.
